What is Apple Fitness+?
Apple Fitness+ is a new fitness service powered by Apple Watch. You can choose from a catalog of workouts led by expert trainers. In-session metrics, like heart rate and calories burned, are transported from your watch to your iPhone, iPad, or Apple TV, so you don’t have to take your eyes away from your workout to see how you’re doing.
How is Apple Fitness+ integrated with the Life Time Digital app?
Apple Fitness+ is a separate app that enhances the Life Time Digital app with additional classes, in-session metrics, handpicked music and more. The Life Time Digital app is used initially to redeem the Apple Fitness+ subscription offer. Then, the Life Time Digital app connects you with Apple Fitness+. Once connected, you will be able to access all the features of Apple Fitness+ through the Apple Fitness+ app.
How do I install Apple Fitness in my Life Time App?
To take advantage of the Apple Fitness+ experience in the Life Time app, the Primary, Partner, or Secondary members on the account must:
- Install the latest version of the Life Time Digital App
- have a synced Apple Watch series 3 or later with watchOS 7
- must be operating one of the following devices: iPhone 6s or later with iOS 14 or later, iPad with iPadOS 14 or later, or Apple TV with tvOS 14 or later.
If you meet all criteria, your redemption code will be applied to your account and you will be prompted to redeem the promo code. If you do not meet all criteria, you will not eligible be able to redeem your code and can contact 1-800-APL-CARE for more information.
How do I redeem the Apple Fitness+ included in membership offer?
If you are the primary, partner or secondary account holder, meet the requirement for hardware and software above you will be able to go into your Life Time app and redeem your Apple Fitness+ offer via a 3 month activation code. This will require you to come back every 3 months to reactivate your Apple Fitness+ subscription through Life Time, otherwise you’ll need to cancel your subscription directly with Apple or be billed directly from Apple for the monthly subscription rate for Apple Fitness+ at that time.
Can I activate an Apple Fitness+ subscription for longer than 3 months at a time?
At this time we are only able subscribe Life Time members to 3 months of Apple Fitness+ at a time, thus requiring members to come back every 3 months to reactivate their subscription or cancel directly with Apple or begin paying the current subscription rate for Apple Fitness+ via their Apple account.
What if my spouse already has a promotion for Apple Fitness+, can I use that in addition to the Life Time Apple Fitness+ offer?
Apple Fitness+ promotions from Apple or other partners are not transferable. If you are the primary, partner, or secondary account holder and have an existing offer from Apple or another Fitness+ partner you can activate that promotion and then stack the Life Time Apple Fitness+ promotion on top of that existing promotion for a longer access period to Apple Fitness+ before needing to activate another Life Time Apple Fitness+ offer code.
If I’m receiving Apple Fitness+ for free through another promotion, how does that work with Apple Fitness+ included in my Life Time membership?
If you meet the requirements for activating the Apple Fitness+ Life Time promotion* the offer will stack on-top of other Apple Fitness+ offers you have been given. Example: If you got 3 free months of Apple Fitness+ for buying a new Apple Watch, the Life Time Apple Fitness+ offer would extend your subscription to Apple Fitness+ for an additional 3 months for a total of 6 months.
If I'm receiving Apple Fitness+ for free through another promotion, can my membership be credited?
The Apple Fitness+ Life Time promotion is not stackable or redeemable for cash value or membership credit.
How can I add additional family members to Apple Fitness+?
The primary, partner or secondary member of the Life Time membership is able to share their Apple Fitness+ account with up to five family members if the primary member meets eligibility requirements. Once the you successfully sets up Apple Fitness+ through Life Time, follow these steps to add family members using Family Share through your iOS device. https://www.apple.com/family-sharing/
If the primary member does not meet the requirements, they can transfer their primary member status to an eligible adult on their account in order to activate.
Will I be able to access Life Time’s on demand classes and Training workouts through Apple Fitness+?
At this time our Life Time on-demand classes and virtual training is available to you through the Life Time app, but not available on Apple Fitness+.
Will my Apple Watch work with Life Time on-demand classes?
At this time Life Time on-demand classes are not integrated with Apple Fitness+ Watch, although you can use your Apple Watch to track your workout via the Apple workouts.
Will my Apple Watch work with my virtual training plan and the Life Time Training app?
Yes, your training program via the Life Time Training app does come with a companion Apple Watch app that integrates your workout and tracking with your Apple Watch.
I am trying to enroll in Apple Fitness+. How can I find my redemption code?
If you meet all criteria, your redemption code will be applied to your account and you will be prompted to redeem the promo code. You can activate in 3 steps:
- In your Life Time Digital App, select the banner at the top of your that says “Apple Fitness+ now included in membership”. Please note: if you are not the primary member on the membership, you will not see this banner
- Select “Launch Apple Fitness+” to first redeem Apple’s free trial of Apple Fitness+. This step is updating the App to add Apple Fitness+.
- Once you have Apple Fitness+ downloaded, go back to the Life Time Digital App and select the “Apple Fitness+ now included in membership” banner again and select “Redeem Promo Offer”. This applies the promotional offer of 3 months free from Life Time. Life Time Members can continue to enjoy free access to Apple Fitness + by returning to the Life Time Digital app and choosing “Extend Promo Offer” every 3 months.
I am a Life Time member, but do not see Apple Fitness+ in my Life Time Digital app, why not?
Only the Primary, Partner, or Secondary member on the qualifying Life Time membership will see Apple Fitness+ in their Life Time app. Once they successfully activate their Apple Fitness+ subscription, they will be able to share their account with up to 5 family members using Family Share. This feature can be found in the Settings section of your iOS device.
Why won't Apple Fitness+ install in my Life Time app?
In order to add the Apple Fitness+ experience to your Life Time app, you must meet the following criteria:
- Running on our latest version of the Life Time app
- Initial setup is tied to the Primary, Partner, or Secondary member of the Life Time membership
- Operating one of the following devices: iPhone 6s or later with iOS 14 or later, iPad with iPadOS 14 or later, or Apple TV with tvOS 14 or later.
- Synced Apple Watch series 3 or later with watchOS 7
If I cancel my Life Time membership, what will happen to my Apple Fitness+ account?
To keep your access to Apple Fitness+ through Life Time, you must maintain a minimum of a Life Time Digital Membership.
How do I upgrade my digital membership to club access?
To upgrade your membership from Digital to Club Access, stop by the Member Services desk or call 1-888-430-6432.
Are there any memberships that don't include Apple Fitness+?
The following membership products do not include Apple Fitness+: Day Pass, short-term, trade-out, or tuition memberships, and is available to U.S. members only at this time.
If I upgrade to a club access membership, how will that impact my Apple Fitness+ account?
When you upgrade to Club Access from a Digital Membership, your Apple Fitness+ account will not be impacted.
My membership is currently on hold. Do I have access to Apple Fitness+?
Members with on-hold memberships will also receive access to Apple Fitness+ while maintaining their on-hold status.
How do I cancel my Apple Fitness+ subscription?
If you no longer wish to subscribe to Apple Fitness+ you must cancel directly through your Apple subscriptions. To access within your Apple device, navigate to your settings/Apple ID/Subscriptions.
